CLINTON'S BIGGEST CRIME /The father of the so-called rape

testicles in a jar on his desk.
CLINTON'S BIGGEST CRIME
By STEVE DUNLEAVY
IT WON'T be hard to find Bill Clinton in New York today - just follow the
traffic jams that his visits always produce.
But don't look for his conscience. For the past 14 years, you wouldn't have
been able to find it with AWAC radar and search parties.
I am not talking about the scandals of lying to judges and juries, or
low-jinks in high places, or Whitewater or Travelgate or Filegate.
It has to do with a man called Wayne Dumond, over whose case I have agonized
for long more than a decade.
Dumond, now 52, was given conditional parole yesterday in Arkansas after
having being sentenced to 50 years in jail for the rape of Clinton's cousin.
That rape never happened.
Is that just me saying so?
No way.
Some others who say so are:
*The judge who sentenced Dumond under court guidelines to 50 years. In fact,
the judge later quit the bench to become Dumond's lawyer to prove his
innocence.
*Dr. Moses Schanfield, who headed the Genetic Testing Center in Denver and
did sperm tests on the so-called victim's jeans. "No way, zip, nada. No way
Dumond was the donor of that sperm. It couldn't have happened in a million
years." Schanfield was one of the experts sent to Bosnia to identify mystery
graves.
*Fred Odam, a retired Arkansas state police captain. He immersed himself in
the case. He told me: "In all my time, this is the one case when I know a
man is not guilty."
*Veteran journalist Gene Wirges, 72, who now publishes the "Common Sense
American" and has battled this travesty from Day One: "Very few people
thought Wayne was guilty, but a lot thought the Clinton kin and clan had to
have revenge ... against anyone - and Bill went along with the program."
Despite the fact the Clinton cousin - whom I will not name, although The
Associated Press has - failed to identify Dumond in two lineups, he was
convicted.
Despite the fact that she identified two other suspects, one an
ex-boyfriend, Dumond was convicted.
Dumond will finally get out after nearly 14 years.
Before Dumond turned himself in for his 50-year sentence, while awaiting
surrender, something terrible happened.
Two masked men burst into his house with a scalpel and surgical gloves and
castrated him. You heard it right.
The former Vietnam veteran and father of six was found hog-tied from a
rafter by two of his schoolboy sons. Miraculously, he survived.
A Clinton crony, Sheriff Coolidge Conlee, who also was a friend of the
father of the Clinton cousin, had let the two animals out of jail to rob
Dumond of his manhood.
Sheriff Coolidge Conlee would die in jail after the feds nailed him for 60
years on a RICO charge.
As Dumond was clinging to life in jail, the sheriff displayed his severed
testicles in a jar on his desk.
"I saw him pick them up and I saw the display," state police Capt. Odam has
told me.
As Dumond's testicles were on display on the sheriff's desk, something else
happened. Dumond's house was torched to the ground.
The father of the so-called rape victim was one of Clinton's biggest donors
in his race for the Arkansas Governor's Mansion.
When Dumond finally gets released next month, his wife, Dusty, will not be
able to greet him. She died two years ago - after years of pleading with
Clinton to review the case while he was governor. The man who, as president,
would later grant clemency to FALN terrorists turned a deaf ear to her
pleas.
Whenever a reporter would ask Gov. Clinton about the case, he'd invariably
respond: "I don't comment on those things."
When pressed by other politicians, his response was: "The case [for a
retrial or clemency] has no merit."
Sounds like Clinton knew a bit about executive privilege a long time ago.
I have in the past spoken to Wayne Dumond for hours in his cell, and, apart
from never seeing his wife when he gets his freedom, he says: "No, I'm not
bitter. I've learned a lot. I think I've become one of those computer nuts
while in jail."
We will be able to find Clinton today in New York. But who can find his
conscience?

Clintons Sexcapades Led to a Massive Abuse of Power, Trooper Says !
NewsMax.com- Gennifer Flowers claims that during her affair with Bill
Clinton, he once asked her to perform oral sex on him while he stood at a
window in the Governors mansion and waved to his wife Hillary who was
outside the house.
Such stories are not be dismissed, a recently retired Arkansas State trooper
says in More than Sex: The Secrets of Bill & Hillary Clinton revealed! - an
audio tape set published by NewsMax.com - The trooper, Larry Patterson, has
offered his story of backstairs with the Clintons during the six years he
protected Bill and Hillary in Arkansas.
Patterson alleges that Clintons womanizing was not a personal matter, but a
public issue that involved "an abuse of women, an abuse of people and abuse
of power.
Patterson, citing the Flowers case, said Clintons affair with Flowers led
to several abuses. Flowers was put on the state payroll and was given a
position for which Charlotte Perry, a career civil service employee, had
been passed over. Perry later sued the state.
"Thats an abuse of power; thats an abuse of state funds, Patterson
said.
Later, when Clintons affair with Flowers began to surface, Clinton lied to
the public about the relationship. Clinton first claimed he barely knew
Flowers and never had a sexual relationship with her. During a deposition in
the Paula Jones case, Clinton admitted he had one instance of sexual contact
with Flowers.
In fact, Patterson said he drove Clinton to Flowers Little Rock apartment
dozens of times and that Flowers sometimes called Clinton several times a
day.
Flowers case was not an isolated one, Patterson said, alleging that Clinton
juggled several relationships at a time, misused state police to maintain
these relationships and hide them from his wife and the public.
"He would have some woman in the governors mansion, his own child there,
and staff people there as well, Patterson explained. State police had to mo
nitor his wifes activities to insure a speedy exit down the backstairs for
any woman he was attending to.
Clinton was "obsessed by sex, Patterson said. "You could not believe it
unless you were around him and saw him. It was 24 hours a day. Even passing
a woman on the street would prompt Clinton. "Larry, what would you do to
her, Patterson said would be a typical Clinton comment.
In More than Sex, Patterson reports: Clinton had several sexual encounters
in the bushes and areas adjoining the governors mansion. On one occasion,
troopers watched on a security video monitor as Clinton had relations with a
young female in the driveway of the governors mansion.
Clinton used his "jogging time to visit with various women. Upon return to
the governors mansion, water would be poured over Clintons head to make it
look like he had actually been exercising. "Wed go back to the mansion,
he
d have makeup, hed have lipstick, and wed say Guv, you cant go in
the
house like this. Hed say whats wrong? "Wed say,
Youve got makeup on
your shirt, youve got lipstick on your face.
Clinton was thrilled by risky sex, and constantly referred to the potential
political liability as having to "live at the foot of the cross. Often
times Clinton brushed off such worries of being exposed by saying that
without a picture of him with another woman, his denials would be believed.
"Larry, unless theyve got pictures of me with a goat, Ill deny it.
Patterson quoted Clinton as saying.
Clinton lied when he said he barely knew Paula Jones and couldnt remember
meeting her. At one point, Patterson said Clinton met Paula at the state
Capital, called her by name and hugged her. As he did so he turned to
Patterson and said, "Larry its kind of like Beauty and the Beast, isnt
it?
State troopers became pimps for Clinton, Patterson said. Clinton would often
pick a woman out of an audience he would be speaking to and tell Patterson
the lady had a "come hither look and asked the trooper to get the womens
contact information.
Clinton was so impressed by Kathy Ferguson, the wife of Danny Ferguson,
another state trooper that guarded Clinton, that he asked Ferguson if he had
naked pictures of his wife he could look at. Patterson said Ferguson told
him and a fellow trooper that Clinton "wanted to know details about their
sexual activity and that Clinton clearly expressed his interest in his
subordinates wife. Clinton told Patterson that his extracurricular
activities never posed a problem because as governor he could do as he
pleased.
Clinton said, "Larry, Im the governor of the state of Arkansas. I work
really hard and the laws that apply to everyone else shouldnt apply to me.
During the 1992 campaign, Troopers began a gambling pool, each choosing the
day a major revelation -"other women would start coming forward- might
surface that would cause him to withdraw from the presidential race.
Surprisingly, that never happened. "I never expected him to weather all the
storms. He has weathered them and the American people seem to be more
accepting. Whatever Clinton does now, they accept it and I dont understand
that.

The city of Oslo is now preparing for the visit of the president of the
United States. This is the first time an American president is visiting
out little country, and we have seen nothing like it earlier. It's like
an invasion. First of all he comes with nearly 700 (!) assistants and
security persons and has rented the 35 floor Plaza for his visit.
Rumors tell that you can't get into the hotel without an American
passport - at least it is confirmed that two floors are only accessible
for Americans. People working in some central downtown areas can not
leave their offices between 9 and 14 o clock monday. They are not
allowed to stay for a long time in the windows, they are not allowed to
enter their offices if they are not already there at 9 o'clock.
Highways will be closed (in the rush hour), streets will be closed.
Hospitals are checked. Everybody who can potentially come in touch with
the VIP's are checked. Just in case some terrorist could swim in the
sewers from the fjord and pop up downtown from a the sewers, the sewer
lids downtown are welded! The sewer entrances in the fjord are also
welded with steel bars and US security persons are everywhere. People
will be on the roofs with guns. It will also be forbidden to fly over
certain areas of the city. etc.etc.etc.
This is the first time we Norwegians experience something like this. It
is an overwhelming confirmation on the importance of Bill Clinton, of
USA as the nation over all nations and the enormous distance in
importance between a "normal" president/prime minister and THE
PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.

"There is every reason to believe that the world is in grave danger
because of America's goal of global hegemony. Ridden with violence,
corruption, injustice, and exploitation, the American nation threatens
to bring "the American way" to the entire world. American
ultra-capitalism with its insatiable global appetite for profit and
domination at any cost imperils global social justice, peace, human
dignity, and hope for a better world. This very system, as I see it,

world and our future increasingly slips into such hands?"

The Progressive Review's
Arkansas Sudden Death Syndrome
A number of persons
associated with WJ Clinton or Arkansas politics have died of
unnatural causes or suddenly
under circumstances that have raised questions. While
lists compiled by
conservatives run as high as 61 deaths, the following is limited to
those deaths with clear
anomalies that, based on the information available to TPR,
require further
investigation.
A few important points: (1)
The fact that anomalies need to be investigated carries no
presumption of how a death
occurred, only that there remain serious questions that
require answers. (2) The
possibility of foul play must be taken seriously in a major
criminal conspiracy in which
two score individuals and firms have already been
convicted and 90 witnesses
have pled the Fifth Amendment or fled the country. (3) If
foul play did occur in any of
these cases, that fact by itself does not carry the
presumption that the White
House was involved. Given the footprints of organized
crime, the drug trade,
foreign espionage, and intelligence agencies along the trail of
this story, such a assumption
would be ill-advised.

MURDER
Former White House intern shot five times in the
murder of three Starbucks employees in an
execution-style slaying. No money was taken.
Informant assisting police in case was murdered when
sent by DC police into a botched drug sting.
NOTE: A federal grand jury has indicted Carl Derek Cooper
on racketeering, robbery and murder charges -- including the
triple slaying at the Georgetown Starbucks. The indictment
charges Cooper as heading a gang that specialized in
robberies in Maryland and DC that occurred near closing
time. In the Starbucks case ten shots were fired at three
employees who were locking up the shop. Five of the shots
hit Caitrin Mahoney. Due to Mahoney having been a White
House intern and Monica Lewinsky's reported comment to
Linda Tripp that she didn't want to end up like her, the case
has attracted considerable attention. Because of anomalies in
the incident, TPR has listed it as one of the curious deaths
that have occurred to those involved with the Clinton
machine. It will continue to be listed pending developments
in the trial.
The federal indictment names no co-conspirators in any of
the incidents. US Attorney Wilma Lewis said that Cooper
worked with someone else in planning the Starbucks robbery
but carried it out alone. She also stated that "If Mr. Cooper is
convicted of any three of the federal charges relating to the
Starbucks murders . . . [he] could face the death penalty. That
decision will be made later on by the attorney general." DC
does not have a death penalty.
Cooper allegedly confessed to the killings during a 54-hour
interrogation. His defense attorney, Steven Kiersh, questions
the interrogation and the lack of physical evidence linking
Cooper to the Starbucks shop. Cooper plans to plead not
guilty.

THE HIDDEN JANET RENO
=====================
[The following is a transcript of a recorded phone message put
out by a group in Chicago called "Citizens' Committee to Clean Up
the Courts [CCCC]." (312) 731-1100 and (312) 731-1505.]
Hi! Sherman Skolnick, Citizens' Committee to Clean Up the Courts,
9800 South Oglesby.
He knows a lot about U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno, who used
to be a state prosecutor in southern Florida. He is attorney Jack
Thompson of the Miami area.
JACK THOMPSON:
...But the fact is that Janet Reno is being blackmailed by
people within the administration and by organized crime
interests who are involved in money laundering -- that from
Michael Morrison, editor of the *Wall Street Journal*.
And Ross Perot, for example, is surveilling her apartment in
Washington, gathering information on her personal life...
SHERMAN SKOLNICK:
For what purpose, do you suppose?
JACK THOMPSON:
I believe, to blow the Clinton administration out of the water.
SHERMAN SKOLNICK:
You think the *Wall Street Journal* knows about this, but
hasn't published much, huh?
JACK THOMPSON:
That's correct. Their editor told me that.
I think the sitting on the information that's known by people
in the news media about Janet Reno is despicable.
I was Reno's opponent, Republican opponent, in the general
election in 1988 for the office of Dade County state attorney.
SHERMAN SKOLNICK:
So you know a little bit about her! [laughs]
JACK THOMPSON:
I know more about her than the editors of the *Miami Herald*
know about her. And indeed, I wanted to testify, as did Miami
police chief Ken Hars(?). Of all the people that should have
been allowed to testify at her confirmation hearings, *he*
should have, and *I* should have. Because what we know about
her alcoholism, her use of call girls for sex...
SHERMAN SKOLNICK:
What, she's a lesbian you mean?
JACK THOMPSON:
Yes. I would sign an affidavit as to what -- and *have* -- as
to what I know. And indeed, [I] wanted to, under oath, give the
names of call girls and other women with whom she's had sex!
Here in Dade County, and around the country!
SHERMAN SKOLNICK:
She was very weak on drug cases for the 15 years that she was a
state prosecutor down there.
JACK THOMPSON:
She was weak on *every* case, except when it came to bringing
charges against police officers for purported abuses of their
power.
But clearly, when you have an editor of the *Wall Street
Journal* tell you -- that is, *me* -- that they know that
Janet Reno is being blackmailed by certain individuals within
the Clinton administration and by organized crime, that's a
rather heady charge! And they have information that they feel
can prove that -- and as do certain Members of Congress.
She's a lesbian who wants to remain "in the closet", she's a
lesbian who criminally uses call girls to satisfy her desires,
and she's a person who has a *severe* alcohol abuse problem --
even so severe that people within her office stated (when she
was working here as state attorney in Dade County) that she
would attempt to discharge her duties during daylight hours
while drunk in the office.
SHERMAN SKOLNICK:
They make a blackmail issue out of her drunkeness and her
sexuality, in other words?
JACK THOMPSON:
They have videotapes of her, engaged in sex acts with call
girls.
She's had numerous DUI [Driving Under the Influence (of
alcohol, presumably)] incidents that she has used her position
here in south Florida to cover up by pulling rank on police
officers and police departments to cover up those incidents --
*that* was squashed by both Republicans *and* Democrats during
the confirmation process.
SHERMAN SKOLNICK:
(We're talking with Jack Thompson, an attorney in the Miami area,
regarding U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno.)
Do you think that those that are in the dope trade and
organized crime know this and are using it even now against
her?
JACK THOMPSON:
Oh there's no question. Because it would, of course, end her
tenure as Attorney General were this to be known: that she's a
drunk and a prostitute-using lesbian. I think the Clintons
wanted a dirty cop on the beat whose chain they could yank in
order to keep her in line on Whitewater or any other matter
that might come down the pike!
Well the House, according to Speaker Gingrich, is going to have
full-blown, far-ranging hearings on Waco. That's a fair
opportunity for me and others to point out, for example, that
Janet Reno was probably drunk when she made the decision to
make the incursion into the Mount Carmel compound.
I called a press conference to announce the information,
including sources independent of me that could corroborate her
lesbianism, her use of call girls, and her alcoholism.
SHERMAN SKOLNICK:
And what happened?
JACK THOMPSON:
The press conference was attended by every media entity in
south Florida -- seventeen-, eighteen-some entities. Guess
what? The story was *completely* *spiked*.

Al Gore Had Bodyguards Protecting Him in Vietnam
"I could have done that," Vice President Al Gore told USA Today for its
Friday edition. "I thought about that, and because a lot of those decisions
were made with political influence, I could have done that, but it did not
feel right."
The "that" to which Gore referred was an opportunity to join his home
state's National Guard. Instead, Gore was shipped to Vietnam after he
volunteered for the Army in 1969; a decision he hopes will contrast
favorably with George W. Bush's service record as a pilot in the Texas Air
National Guard.
But the Vice President best tread lightly as he uses his Vietnam experience
to play the egalitarian card. Because, according to a recent Los Angeles
Times report that the rest of the press pretended not to notice, Gore's
Vietnam tour of duty was notable mainly for the special treatment he
received; a "handle with care" order that required bodyguards to keep the
senator's son from getting hurt.
"Several of his (Vietnam) colleagues remember they were assigned to make
sure this son of a prominent politician was never injured in the war,"
reported Times correspondent Richard Serrano, in a lengthy piece headlined,
"Struggle With Conscience was Gore's Biggest Vietnam Battle."
"Other soldiers with long experience in Vietnam said that Gore was treated
differently from his fellow enlistees," Serrano noted. "Two of them recalled
that before Gore arrived Brig. General Kenneth B. Cooper advised them that a
senator's son would be joining the outfit.
"H. Alan Leo said soldiers were ordered to serve as Gore's bodyguards, to
keep him out of harm's way. 'It blew me away,' Leo said. 'I was to make sure
he didn't get into a situation he could not get out of. They didn't want him
to get into trouble. So we went into the field after the fact (after combat
actions), and that limited his exposure to any hazards.'" (Los Angeles
Times -- October 15, 1999)
During his first run for the White House in 1988, Gore didn't hesitate to
remind reporters about his service in Vietnam, which he tended to
mischaracterize as combat oriented. "I was shot at. I spent most of my time
in the field," he told the Washington Post eleven years ago.
"I carried an M-16... I pulled my turn on the perimeter at night and walked
through the elephant grass and I was fired upon," Gore told the Baltimore
Sun during the same period. To Vanity Fair he revealed, "Something would
move, we'd fire first and ask questions later."
But eight Vietnam vets who served with the vice president told the Los
Angeles Times that Gore was never in the middle of a battle. These days,
Gore admits his wartime service was primarily as a reporter.
But Gore has yet to respond to allegations that bodyguards kept him out of
harm's way in Vietnam, a charge which -- except for the Los Angeles Times --
has gone largely unreported by the press.

the distribution of cholera-infect blankets to American Indian tribes
in the 1860s. In 1900, US Army doctors in the Philippines infected
five prisoners with a variety of plague and 29 prisoners with
Beriberi. At least four of the subjects died. In 1915, a doctor
working with government grants exposed 12 prisoners in Mississippi
to pellagra, an incapacitating disease that attacks the central
nervous system.
After World War I, the United States went on a chemical weapons
binge, producing millions of barrels of mustard gas and Lewisite.
Thousands of US troops were exposed to these chemical agents in
order to "test the efficacy of gas masks and protective clothing".
The Veterans Administration refused to honor disability claims
from victims of such experiments. The Army also deployed mustard
gas against anti-US protesters in Puerto Rico and the Philippines
in the 1920s and 1930s.
In 1931, Dr. Cornelius Rhoads, then under contract with the
Rockefeller Institute for Medical Investigations, initiated his
horrific Puerto Rico Cancer Experiments, infecting dozens of
unwitting subjects with cancer cells. At least thirteen of his
victims died as a result. Rhoads went on to head of the US Army
Biological Weapons division and to serve on the Atomic Energy
Commission, where he oversaw radiation experiments on thousands of
US citizens. In memos to the Department of Defense, Rhoads
expressed his opinion that Puerto Rican dissidents could be
"eradicated" with the judicious use of germ bombs.
In 1942, US Army and Navy doctors infected 400 prisoners in
Chicago with malaria in experiments designed to get "a profile of
the disease and develop a treatment for it." Most of the inmates
were black and none was informed of the risks of the experiment.
Nazi doctors on trial at Nuremberg cited the Chicago malaria
experiments as part of their defense.
At the close of World War II, the US Army put on its payroll, Dr.
Shiro Ishii, the head of the Imperial Army of Japan's bio-warfare
unit. Dr. Ishii had deployed a wide range of biological and
chemical agents against Chinese and Allied troops. He also
operated a large research center in Manchuria, where he conducted
bio-weapons experiments on Chinese, Russian and American prisoners
of war. Ishii infected prisoners with tetanus; gave them typhoid-
laced tomatoes; developed plague-infected fleas; infected women
with syphilis; performed dissections on live prisoners; and
exploded germ bombs over dozens of men tied to stakes. In a deal
hatched by Gen. Douglas MacArthur, Ishii turned over more than
10,000 pages of his "research findings" to the US Army, avoided
prosecution for war crimes and was invited to lecture at Ft.
Detrick, the US Army bio-weapons center in Frederick, Maryland.
In 1950 the US Navy sprayed large quantities of serratia
marcescens, a bacteriological agent, over San Francisco, promoting
an outbreak of pneumonia-like illnesses and causing the death of
at least one man, Ed Nevins.
A year later, Chinese Premier Chou En-lai charged that the US
military and the CIA had used bio-agents against North Korea and
China. Chou produced statements from 25 US prisoners of war
backing him his claims that the US had dropped anthrax
contaminated feathers, mosquitoes and fleas carrying Yellow Fever
and propaganda leaflets spiked with cholera over Manchuria and
North Korea.
From 1950 through 1953, the US Army released chemical clouds over
six US and Canadian cities. The tests were designed to test
dispersal patterns of chemical weapons. Army records noted that
the compounds used over Winnipeg, Canada, where there were
numerous reports of respiratory illnesses, involved cadmium, a
highly toxic chemical.
In 1951 the US Army secretly contaminated the Norfolk Naval Supply
Center in Virginia with infectious bacteria. One type was chosen
because blacks were believed to be more susceptible than whites. A
similar experiment was undertaken later that year at Washington,
DC's National Airport. The bacteria was later linked to food and
blood poisoning and respiratory problems.
Savannah, Georgia and Avon Park, Florida were the targets of
repeated Army bio-weapons experiments in 1956 and 1957. Army CBW
researchers released millions of mosquitoes on the two towns in
order to test the ability of insects to carry and deliver yellow
fever and dengue fever. Hundreds of residents fell ill, suffering
from fevers, respiratory distress, stillbirths, encephalitis and
typhoid. Army researchers disguised themselves as public health
workers in order photograph and test the victims. Several deaths
were reported.
In 1965 the US Army and the Dow Chemical Company injected dioxin
into 70 prisoners (most of them black) at the Holmesburg State
Prison in Pennsylvania. The prisoners developed severe lesions
which went untreated for seven months. A year later, the US Army
set about the most ambitious chemical warfare operation in
history.
From 1966 to 1972, the United States dumped more than 12 million
gallons of Agent Orange (a dioxin-powered herbicide) over about
4.5 million acres of South Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. The
government of Vietnam estimate the civilian casualties from Agent
Orange at more than 500,000. The legacy continues with high levels
of birth defects in areas that were saturated with the chemical.
Tens of thousands of US soldiers were also the victims of Agent
Orange.
In a still classified experiment, the US Army sprayed an unknown
bacterial agent in the New York Subway system in 1966. It is not
known if the test caused any illnesses.
A year later, the CIA placed a chemical substance in the drinking
water supply of the Food and Drug Administration headquarters in
Washington, DC. The test was designed to see if it was possible to
poison drinking water with LSD or other incapacitating agents.
In 1969, Dr. D.M. McArtor, the deputy director for Research and
Technology for the Department of Defense, asked Congress to
appropriate $10 million for the development of a synthetic
biological agent that would be resistant "to the immunological and
therapeutic processes upon which we depend to maintain our
relative freedom from infectious disease".
In 1971 the first documented cases of swine fever in the western
hemisphere showed up in Cuba. A CIA agent later admitted that he
had been instructed to deliver the virus to Cuban exiles in
Panama, who carried the virus into Cuba in March of 1991. This
astounding admission received scant attention in the US press.
In 1980, hundreds of Haitian men, who had been locked up in
detention camps in Miami and Puerto Rico, developed gynecomasia
after receiving "hormone" shots from US doctors. Gynecomasia is a
condition causing males to develop full-sized female breasts.
In 1981, Fidel Castro blamed an outbreak of dengue fever in Cuba
on the CIA. The fever killed 188 people, including 88 children. In
1988, a Cuban exile leader named Eduardo Arocena admitted
"bringing some germs" into Cuba in 1980.
Four years later an epidemic of dengue fever struck Managua,
Nicaragua. Nearly 50,000 people came down with the fever and
dozens died. This was the first outbreak of the disease in
Nicaragua. It occurred at the height of the CIA's war against the
Sandinista government and followed a series of low-level
"reconnaissance" flights over the capital city.
In 1996, the Cuba government again accused the US of engaging in
"biological aggression". This time it involved an outbreak of
thrips palmi, an insect that kills potato crops, palm trees and
other vegetation. Thrips first showed up in Cuba on December 12,
1996, following low-level flights over the island by US government
spray planes. The US has been unable to quash a United Nations
investigation of the incident that is now underway.
At the close of the Gulf War, the US Army exploded an Iraqi
chemical weapons depot at Kamashiya. In 1996, the Department of
Defense finally admitted that more than 20,000 US troops were
exposed to VX and sarin nerve agents as a result of the US
operation at Kamashiya. This may be one cause of Gulf War Illness,
another cause is certainly the experimental vaccines unwittingly
given to more than 100,000 US troops.

Truth behind Korean War provocation disclosed
Pyongyang, June 9 (KCNA) -- The History Society of the Democratic People's
Republic of Korea made public an article captioned "Facts Tell" bringing to
light the truth behind the provocation of the Korean War on the part of the
U.S. The article describes the Korean War as an inevitable product of the
U.S. imperialists' strategy for world supremacy and their policy of
aggression on Korea.
It goes on:
Taking advantage of its favorable position as the leader of imperialists
after World War II, the U.S. considered it as strategic aim of its
immediate foreign policy to "lead the world," that is, to achieve world
supremacy.
To this end the U.S. declared "Cold War" against the socialist
countries and the revolutionary forces around the world, set forth what
they called "deterrence strategy" ("blockade strategy") and the then
U.S.
President Truman declared "Truman doctrine" at a joint meeting of the U.S.
House and Senate in March 1947.
The Korean War was an inevitable product of
the brigandish world supremacy strategy and policy of aggression on Korea
pursued by the U.S. in a bid to colonialize the whole of Korea and realise
world supremacy design in the far east with Korea as an advance base.
The U.S. worked out the "plan for northward expedition," noisily called for
"northward expedition" and modified and rounded off the plan for the Korean
War.
For the execution of their world supremacy strategy and policy of
aggression on Korea they worked hard to map out the plan for the Korean
War.
The "A.B.C. plan" was part of their plan of aggression on the Far
East. It is known to the world that the "A.B.C. plan" was worked out by the
Macarthur command at pentagon's instruction from 1948 to early 1950 and
approved by the U.S. joint chiefs of staff in around January 1950.
The plan envisaged the three stages of war--the first stage (A) was to begin
the war of aggression on Korea involving the U.S. troops and the "ROK" Army, the
second stage (B) to spread the war to Manchuria involving the re-armed
Japanese Army and the Chiang Kai-shek Army and the third stage (C) to
conquer the whole Siberia, including Ural.
Under the "a scenario" the U.S. worked out the "plan for northward
expedition" by the "ROK" Army, a detailed military action program for the
provocation of a war of aggression
in Korea.
While crying out for "northward expedition," the U.S. and the
South Korean ruling quarters made an unbroken chain of armed assaults
across the 38th parallel, paving the way for full-dress war of aggression
on the North Korea.
The U.S.'s new war plan for "northward expedition" was
to begin the Korean War before July 1950 and round off the war preparations
in the U.S. mainland and Japan, particularly in South Korea just before the
outbreak of war. It also called for making the U.S. troops as well as the
"ROK" Army take an active part in the war from its outset and concentrating
all forces on breaking through the 38th parallel instead of carrying out
landing operations on the east and west coasts of the North Korea which had
been envisaged in the "northward expedition" plan.
It elaborated on the diplomatic plan of the U.S. Department of State to give
political backing to the military operation plan of pentagon and the U.S. joint chiefs of
staff, the intelligence action program of the KLO and the South Korean
ruling quarters, etc. With a view to meeting the demands for their world
supremacy strategy and Korea policy of aggression the U.S. imperialists
worked out and rounded off the very reckless plan of war of aggression to
let the "ROK" Army provoke the war of aggression on the North Korea,
promptly hurl the U.S. troops into the front to conquer the whole of Korea
in a short time and turn the Korean War into a world war.
The article discloses that the armed intrusion of the U.S. and the South
Korean rulers into the area north of the 38th parallel was a prelude to the Korean War.
The U.S. orchestrated a series of "small wars" and armed intrusions into
areas north of the 38th parallel against the DPRK from 1947 and escalated
them to provoke the Korean War on June 25, 1950.
The number of cases of armed intrusion reached 2,617 in 1949 when their
"plan for the northward expedition" entered a phase of implementation and
this continued and got more pronounced in the first half of 1950.
The U.S. employed a broad hoax to cover up their aggressive nature and shift
the responsibility for the war on to the DPRK. Behind the curtain of this
deceptive offensive the U.S. finally rounded off their war preparations.
They, among other things, decided to move up the month for the start of the
war to June from July.
Under this decision the U.S. rushed political adviser to the U.S. President
Dulles, secretary of defence Johnson and chairman of the U.S. joint chiefs
of staff Bradley and others to South Korea and Tokyo to finally examine the
preparations for the Korean War and take necessary measures.
Military proposals set out at the "four-party talks" were ratified by Truman
and a combat order was issued to the "ROK" Army to invade the north all at once
at dawn of June 25.
Robert, head of the U.S. military advisory group,
explaining the reason "why the U.S. chose June 25," said that June 25 being
Sunday, no one would believe that the U.S. and South Korea started a war on
Sunday, as the U.S. and South Korea, both Christian lands, observed Sunday
as the lord's day.
With nothing can the U.S. imperialists cover up their
true colors as the provoker of the Korean War and escape a severe judgement
of history, the article warns.
Korean Central News Agency Jun 13
U.S. orchestrated
prelude to Korean War
Pyongyang, June 13 (KCNA) -- The U.S. started armed intrusions into areas
of the North Korea in a bid to increase "combat capabilities" of the troops
in 1947 by examining the "war posture" along the 38th parallel.
That year alone, they committed over 270 cases of intrusions into areas
along the parallel, seriously disturbing peace.
At that time such bellicose slogans as "Here is front. Let's march
northward " "Today 38th parallel, tomorrow Pyongyang" were seen in several
places along the 38th parallel. Those slogans proved that frequent armed
intrusions were by no means accidental ones.
In 1948 the "ROK" Army units went the length of occupying some areas of
Kangwon Province and the then Hwanghae Province north of the 38th parallel.
These armed intrusions into areas of the North Korea reached their height
in 1949 when the U.S. rounded off the plan for "northward expedition."
Huge armed forces were amassed in areas along the 38th parallel at that
time to carry out the plan for "northward expedition." Its main thrust was
to advance towards the River Amnok and River Tuman after crossing the 38th
parallel with two army corps and occupy Pyongyang at one swoop by seizing
the central part of the north through the coordinated actions of the
"western front" units, advancing towards the Kumgyo-Sariwon-Pyongyang, the
main target of their attack, and "eastern front" units marching towards
Ryonchon-Wonsan.
The difference between the then armed intrusions and the previous ones was
that the division-size military strength and special service units as well
as the military strength of all services and arms of the "ROK" Army were
all involved. The number of cases of the "ROK" Army's intrusions into areas
of the north in 1949 alone reached as many as 2,617.
The U.S.'s initial plan for "northward expedition" was to provoke a war
against the north in 1949.
But repeated setbacks in their armed intrusions compelled the U.S. to
postpone the start of the war until 1950.
The U.S. thus orchestrated in 1949 a prelude to the Korean War.
U.S. order to start Korean
War
Korean Central News Agency Jun 12 Secret Order was issued to break through
the 38th parallel on the early morning of June 25 and start military actions
against NKorea, Etc. / SKorean Group calls for
Repatriation of
NKorean War Prisoners of SKorea, some still in Kapitalist prisons after half
a century. / Etc.
U.S. order to start Korean War
Pyongyang, June 12 (KCNA) -- The U.S. gave an order to the "ROK
Army"
to start the war after its final examination of war preparations.
On June 17, Juche 39 (1950) the then U.S. President Truman sent Dulles
as his special envoy to South Korea to examine the anti-north war scenario
and give an order to start the attack.
On June 18 Dulles inspected the 38th parallel and the war preparations
of the "ROK Army" units. That day he told Syngman Rhee to start the attack
on North Korea with the counter-propaganda that North Korea first 'invaded'
the
south.
On the next day, he appeared at the South Korean "National
Assembly" to
egg the South Korean authorities on to a war, saying that the U.S. was ready
to offer all the mental and material aid to South Korea in its fight against
communism.
In the June 20 letter to Syngman Rhee he stressed that the role for the
"ROK" to play was to invent a pretext for a war.
The "ROK Army" chief of general staff, upon receiving an
order to
invade the north from the U.S., on June 21 issued order no. 29 as regards
the date of invasion to the first and second combat commands under his
control.
On June 24 officers were confined to the barracks and an order was
issued to them to stand by. That night a secret order was issued to break
through the 38th parallel on the early morning of June 25 and start military
actions against
North Korea.
The U.S. order to provoke the war was directly given to Syngman Rhee
under a carefully arranged plan.
Repatriation of unconverted long-term prisoners called for
Pyongyang, June 12 (KCNA) -- The South Korean Promotion Committee For
Repatriation of the Unconverted Long-Term Prisoners reportedly called a
press conference on June 9 and reiterated demand for immediate repatriation
of the unconverted long-term prisoners, who call for their repatriation to
the North Korea.
Most of the unconverted long-term prisoners who call for their
repatriation are persons of over 70 years, including
those of over 90 years.
Asserting that the repatriation of the unconverted long-term prisoners,
who remain the symbol of division, would
be a measure helpful to the atmosphere for national reconciliation and
unity under the situation in which the historic
south-north summit is to be held, the committee urged the authorities not
to delay their repatriation any longer.
Priest Hong Kun Su, co-representative of the Council For the National
Reconciliation and Independent Reunification, said that the unconverted
long-term prisoners should be repatriated to the north as they demanded and
that there should be neither political pretext nor strings as regards this
issue.
From:
Pyongyang, June 14 (KCNA) -- The U.S.
instigated the "ROK Army" to start a surprise armed invasion of the North Korea
on June 25, 1950. They started a general attack from all areas along the 38th parallel at
4 a.m. one hour earlier than scheduled. It was commanded by the U.S. military advisory
group.
The New York Times June 26 said that that morning the "ROK
Army" advanced towards the north to occupy Haeju, adding it was one mile north of the
boundary. That morning radio Seoul broadcast that the 17th regiment in Ongjin area
occupied Haeju and some of the main units of the "ROK Army" were advancing as
far as the point 20 km from the 38th parallel.
No sooner had the "ROK Army" crossed the 38th parallel than
the United States swiftly hurled its forces that had been on standby into the Korean War.
On the first day of the war the flying corps of the U.S. Air Force
started military actions against the Korean People's Army and, from the next day,
indiscriminately bombed the areas of the northern half of Korea. On the same day the U.S.
7th fleet, too, started its military operation in waters off Korea.
The U.S. book "Modern History of America" said that the North
Korean army retreated 2-3 km in face of a surprise attack by the South Korean army before
making a counter-attack. The counter-attack of the North Korean army badly crippled the
South Korean army for which a huge amount of fund was spent, it added.

Greetings to Portuguese President
Pyongyang, June 9 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Nam, President of the presidium of the
DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, Wednesday sent a message of greetings to

Russian President to visit DPRK
Pyongyang, June 9 (KCNA) -- Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, President of the
Russian Federation, will shortly visit the Democratic People's Republic of
Korea at the invitation of General Secretary Kim Jong Il.
Arms buildup in S. Korea
Pyongyang, June 9 (KCNA) -- The U.S. has stepped up their preparations for
a war against the DPRK from the first days of their presence in South
Korea. The U.S. organized the "national defence command" and the "national
defence constabulary" in October Juche 34 (1945) and a "coast guard" the
next year on the basis of the South Korean "national defence preparations
program". And they organized ordinance, engineering, communications and
other specialized units one after another. They made a "law on organizing
ROK Army" at the end of November 1948, increased the "ROK" Army to 8
divisions in June next year and set up the air force and marine corps, thus
bringing the total number of land, naval and air forces of the "ROK" Army
to 160,000 including 50,000-odd policemen in 1949. They handed to the "ROK"
Army over 105,000 rifles and carbines, over 2,000 heavy and light machine
guns, over 50 million rounds of ammunition, guns and shells, 5,000 military
trucks, 79 warships and at least 20 planes in the same year. They
registered 1.25 million youths and students as reserves and gave them
military drill. The U.S. had the South Korean authorities built offensive
positions along the 38th parallel and amassed "ROK" Army there. And they
kept the 24th and 7th divisions of the U.S. Army ready at sea ports and
airports of Japan for the Korean War. Navy and air force bases were built
in Japan and pacific ocean islands and aircraft carriers, cruisers and
destroyers of the U.S. 7th fleet were sent to the far east. Also deployed
in the regions were 12 flying corps including fighters, bombers and
transport planes. The Korean War broke out after the U.S. premeditated and
meticulous preparations. With nothing can the U.S. shirk off its
responsibility for igniting the Korean War.
Reception given on Russian National Day
Pyongyang, June 9 (KCNA) -- Valery Denisov, Russian ambassador to the DPRK,
hosted a reception yesterday at the embassy on the National Day of Russia.
Invited to the reception were Minister of Foreign Trade Kang Jong Mo,
acting chairman of the Korean Committee For Cultural Relations With Foreign
Countries Mun Jae Chol, vice-ministers of the people's armed forces,
foreign affairs and fisheries and officials concerned. Speeches were made
there.
Withdrawal of U.S. troops from S. Korea urged Pyongyang, June 9 (KCNA)
-- The Asian Regional Institute of the Juche Idea released a statement on
June 5 supporting the memorandum of the DPRK government. In the statement
it strongly demanded the immediate withdrawal of the U.S. troops from South
Korea, considering that genuine peace and security of the Korean peninsula
are impossible in the U.S. military presence in South Korea. The statement
said:
The U.S. troops stationed in South Korea entirely hold the right of
operation and command over the "ROK" Army and are stepping up preparations
for a new war, legitimatizing their occupation of South Korea. At the
DPRK-U.S. talks and "four-party talks" the DPRK government, proceeding from
the stand of good faith to achieve substantial peace of the Korean
peninsula, has consistently proposed withdrawal of the U.S. troops from
South Korea and conclusion of a peace accord between the DPRK and the U.S.,
which are key to the solution of the Korean question. If the U.S. had
accepted any of the DPRK's fair and aboveboard proposals, there would have
been no such danger of war as it is today in the Korean peninsula and a
durable peace would have already come to the peninsula. We support the
realistic peace proposals put forward by the DPRK government to achieve the
independent and peaceful reunification of the country.
U.S. rumour of "threat from N. Korea"
Pyongyang, June 9 (KCNA) -- Talbott, deputy secretary of the U.S.
Department of State, officially made a very provocative statement at a
press conference on June 4 that the DPRK is the imaginary enemy of the U.S.
"National Missile Defense" initiative. The U.S. authorities are spreading
such rumour of "threat from North Korea" to achieve two aims. One is to
retain monopoly of missiles and realize its military domination over the
world by establishing the "National Missile Defense" system at any cost
under the pretext of the "missile threat" from the DPRK. Another is to
isolate and suffocate the DPRK politically and militarily by branding it as
a "missile proliferating state." This brings into bolder relief the
long-standing U.S. dominationist ambition and impudence. It also eloquently
shows that the U.S. call for "dialogue and cooperation", "peace and
disarmament" is nothing but sheer hypocrisy. This impudence of the U.S. may
throw a grave obstacle in the way of improving relations with the DPRK. The
DPRK and the U.S. are in dialogue process. Action getting on dialogue
partner's nerves should be avoided to advance dialogue and establish
cooperative relations. Nonetheless, the U.S. is intensifying the political
and military moves against the DPRK, persistently floating baseless rumour
of "missile threat." Unless the U.S. discards its intention to stifle the
DPRK, the latter will have no option but to take a strong countermeasure,
which belongs to the DPRK's sovereignty. In that case the situation will
not be in favor of the U.S. and it will be held wholly responsible for all
the consequences arising therefrom.
Anti-national and anti-reunification action assailed Pyongyang, June 9
(KCNA) --
Shortly ago, the "Seoul district court" of South Korea sentenced Buddhist
priest Jin Kwan to prison terms on charges that he exchanged facsimile
messages with the north side as head of the reunification vanguard of the
south headquarters of the National Alliance for the Country's Reunification
and spearheaded the pan-national rally held in Seoul last year. The court
also sentenced father Mun Kyu Hyon of the South Korean Catholic Priests'
Council For Justice to prison terms on charges that he participated in the
August 15 Grand Festival For Reunification during his visit to Pyongyang in
1998. Rodong Sinmun today in a signed commentary dismisses these actions as
unpardonable crimes that go against the reconciliation, unity and
reunification of the nation. These repressive actions betray their stand of
opposing national reconciliation, unity and reunification, the commentary
observes, and goes on: Such legal actions taken against pro-reunification
patriots at a time when the fellow countrymen's desire for reunification is
mounting higher than ever before can not be construed otherwise than
sinister actions to stymie national reconciliation, unity and
reunification. The South Korean authorities should bear in mind that all
the fellow countrymen are closely watching their behaviour, the commentary
warns.
S. Korean students demonstrate before U.S. embassy Pyongyang, June 9
(KCNA) --
Students of Seoul National University staged a demonstration in front of
the U.S. embassy in Seoul on June 8 against the backdrop of the anti-U.S.
sentiment rapidly mounting among the South Korean people these days,
according to Yonhap News from Seoul. They attempted to enter the embassy,
chanting "abolish 'Security Law'," "pull back U.S. troops" and other
slogans and scattering propaganda literature.
Citizens committee for probing truth behind massacre formed Pyongyang, June
9 (KCNA) --
14 citizens' organizations in Taejon and South Chungchong Province of South
Korea including the Taejon Citizens' Solidarity For Autonomy on June 1
formed a committee for probing the truth behind the massacre at Taejon
prison and started its activities in real earnest, according to a South
Korean newspaper. The committee called a press conference at which it urged
the "government" authorities to find out how many prisoners were killed at
Taejon prison in July 1950 and who ordered the killing and to probe the
truth about massacres of civilians as soon as possible. The committee
declared that it would form a measure committee made up of those from
across South Korea, collect testimonies of witnesses and materials related
to the case and work to preserve the place where the massacre was
committed.
Japan's redress for its past urged
Pyongyang, June 9 (KCNA) -- Japan's redress for its past is a prerequisite
for the improvement of the DPRK-Japan relations, and this is the only way
to put an end to the inglorious relations between the DPRK and Japan and
make them good neighbors, not near yet distant countries, says Rodong
Sinmun today in a signed article. It goes on:
The Korean people suffered immeasurable mental, moral, physical and
material damage due to Japan, and apology and compensation should be made
by it. But, Japan has not made any proper apology for its monstrous crimes.
The relationship between the DPRK and Japan is that between the victim and
the assailant. It is quite natural for the criminal to admit his crimes,
face judgement and make an apology and pay compensation to the victim from
a legal and moral point of view. Accusing the Japanese government of
whitewashing its crime-woven past in a bid to evade its settlement, the
article notes: Termination of hostile relations between the DPRK and Japan
and the opening of diplomatic ties between them can not be expected without
Japan's settlement of its past. There is only one basic principle to govern
the process to improve the DPRK-Japan relations. This principle is that
Japan's redress for its crimes committed against the Korean people in the
past is a prerequisite to improving the relations between the DPRK and
Japan. This principle can never change.
If Japan is to admit and settle its past crimes, it should, first of all,
apologize for its military aggression on Korea and for misfortune,
sufferings, disasters and damage it imposed upon the Korean people during
its occupation of Korea. It should be a political apology which reflects
its sincere repentance for its past crimes and its will not to repeat them
and this apology be made by the chief executive of the Japanese government
before the normalization of the relations. Japan should also compensate for
the human and material losses it inflicted upon the Korean people. Japan
should make material compensation for the destroyed cultural treasures and
return all the looted ones to meet the principled demands of the DPRK. The
improvement of the legal status of the Koreans in Japan should be part of
Japan's settlement of its crimes committed against the DPRK in the past.
Not only those who suffered damage directly from Japan but also their
descendants are demanding Japan settle its crimes perpetrated against them.
Japan's delay in liquidating its past crimes against the DPRK would add to
its crimes. The Korean people will surely force Japan to pay compensation
for its past crimes.
S. Korean teachers on strike
Pyongyang, June 9 (KCNA) -- Struggle of teachers' unions is gaining in
scope in South Korea, according to a radio report from Seoul. The "National
Teachers Union" (Jongyojo) demanded normalization of education at schools,
guarantee for teachers' union activities on the campus and wage hike by
15.2 percent and have launched the struggle since late May, contending that
those demands should be met through collective negotiations. However, the
"Ministry of Education" has refused to accept the demand. Enraged at this,
Jongyojo decided to hold a rally for ensuring the collective negotiations
in Seoul on June 8 and is working to bring together over 1,900 chairmen of
its branches in different parts of South Korea in Seoul. The South Korean
teachers' union also launched a struggle in demand of collective
negotiations with the "ministry." The union began a hunger strike of its
leadership on June 5, which was scheduled to start on June 15. The
teachers' unions clarified that they would intensify their struggle
including meetings and strikes across South Korea unless the negotiations
are held.
FM spokesman on U.S. fiction of "missile threat"
Pyongyang, June 9 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of the
DPRK flayed the United States for pulling up the DPRK again over "missile
issue." U.S. President Clinton during his recent visit to Russia employed
every possible means to seek modifications in the Russia-U.S. ABM treaty,
which he considered as a hurdle in establishing the "National Missile
Defence" system (NMD) and cited the "missile threat" from the DPRK as a
pretext for the NMD. Answering a question put by KCNA today in this regard,
the spokesman said: The U.S. employs the trite method of sacrificing small
countries to please big countries, but it is gravely mistaken if it thinks
that will work on the DPRK. The U.S. moves to establish the NMD aimed to
get unchallenged upper hand in strength are censured and condemned not only
by its allies and Americans but by the international community as they are
very dangerous and reckless moves to vitiate the world strategic stability.
The U.S. is brazen-faced enough to talk about "threat" of the DPRK's
peaceful satellite launch although it deployed thousands of nuclear
missiles in different parts of the world and carries out test-firing almost
every day. The U.S. should ponder over the consequences to be entailed by
its insincere implementation of the DPRK-U.S. agreed framework. The
countries concerned should properly judge what the U.S. truly seeks in
talking about "new threat" from the DPRK. The DPRK is always ready to
demonstrate its will not to pardon anyone infringing upon the sovereignty
and dignity of the nation even a bit.
Famous mountains of Korea
Pyongyang, June 9 (KCNA) -- There are many famous mountains in Korea, 80
percent of whose land is mountainous. Among them are Mt. Paektu, Mt.
Kumgang, Mt. Myohyang, Mt. Chilbo and Mt. Kuwol known to the world for
their beautiful scenery. The highest of them is Mt. Paektu (2,750 m)
soaring imposingly in the northern inland. It is called Mt. Paektu (white
head) because it looks as if it is covered with snow all the year round. It
consists of many peaks of various forms such as Janggun Peak, Hyangdo Peak
and Ssangmujigae Peak with rocks of fantastic shape. On the top of it is
Lake Chon, a crater which is more than 14 km round. There are thick forests
around the mountain. Fascinating is the scenery of the mountain at sunrise.
The area of the mountain is associated with the history of the
anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle of the President Kim Il Sung. And
there is a native home of General Secretary Kim Jong Il. That is why it is
called a holy mountain of the Korean revolution. Mt. Kumgang is a
world-famous one in the northern part of the Thaebaek mountain range which
lies in the central part of Korea. It is called Mt. Kumgang for its
jewel-like scenery in spring when all things in the universe come back to
life and all kinds of flowers come into bloom and emit fragrance.
Multifarious and grand landscape scenery can be seen in the vast area of
the mountain, 40 km from east to west and 60 km from north to south. There
are upper Paldam pool with a legend that eight fairies of heaven used to
come down to have a bath, the Kuryong pond, the Kuryong Falls and many
other ponds and waterfalls, rocks of fantastic shape, rocky cliffs and
mountain beauty remind us of a painting. Especially, on the Piro Peak
(1,639 m), its main peak, you command a bird's-eye view of 12,000 peaks and
valleys of Mt. Kumgang, the East Sea of Korea and landscape of vast area.
The mountain has been well known not only to Korea but to the world as well
from thousands of years ago for its superb scenery. Mt. Myohyang in the
western inland is one of the famous mountains. It is called Mt. Myohyang
for its beauty and fragrance. It tops grand and magnificent beauty as many
peaks of 1,300 m and over with the Piro Peak (1,909m) as its main one rise
like the teeth of a saw. The mountain boasts of 8 famous views of Hyangsan
including meeting and seeing off guests at the Simjin pavilion,
moon-viewing at the Bulyong pavilion, waterfall-viewing at the Inho rock
and night glow at the Tangun pavilion. Indeed, Korea is rich in famous
mountains.
The
U.S. worked out the "plan for northward expedition," noisily called for
"northward expedition" and modified and rounded off the plan for the Korean
The plan
envisaged the three stages of war--the first stage (A) was to begin the war
of aggression on Korea involving the U.S. troops and the "ROK" Army, the
second stage (B) to spread the war to Manchuria involving the re-armed
Japanese Army and the Chiang Kai-shek Army and the third stage (C) to
conquer the whole Siberia, including Ural. Under the "a scenario" the U.S.
worked out the "plan for northward expedition" by the "ROK" Army, a
detailed military action program for the provocation of a war of aggression
It elaborated on the
diplomatic plan of the U.S. Department of State to give political backing
to the military operation plan of pentagon and the U.S. joint chiefs of
staff, the intelligence action program of the KLO and the South Korean
ruling quarters, etc.
The article
discloses that the armed intrusion of the U.S. and the South Korean rulers
into the area north of the 38th parallel was a prelude to the Korean War.
The U.S. orchestrated a series of "small wars" and armed intrusions into
areas north of the 38th parallel against the DPRK from 1947 and escalated
them to provoke the Korean War on June 25, 1950. The number of cases of
armed intrusion reached 2,617 in 1949 when their "plan for the northward
expedition" entered a phase of implementation and this continued and got
more pronounced in the first half of 1950. The U.S. employed broad hoax to
cover up their aggressive nature and shift the responsibility for the war
on to the DPRK. Behind the curtain of this deceptive offensive the U.S.
finally rounded off their war preparations. They, among other things,
decided to move up the month for the start of the war to June from July.
Military
proposals set out at the "four-party talks" were ratified by Truman and a
combat order was issued to the "ROK" Army to invade the north all at once
at dawn of June 25.
